Karbala Safe Green and Sacred

In 2021, a philanthropist from Pakistan donated to establish a nursery and oases along the Yahsin road between Najaf and Karbala. The project was sponsored by the Shiite Endowment Office’s Department of Shrines, and it was inaugurated and supported by the Governor of Karbala, with substantial funds and efforts dedicated to its success. Unfortunately, in 2023, the project was entirely dismantled, and the Karbala Governorate took on the reforestation of the same road with significant investments amounting to billions. As of the beginning of 2024, infrastructure work has commenced, including the digging for sewage and stormwater drainage systems, after utilizing funds allocated for food security in Karbala. It is worth noting that the water and sewage pipeline project was originally scheduled to be implemented as part of the provincial development plan in 2023. #Karbala_Safe_Green_and_Sacred
